When you first enter Citation Gecko you will be greeted with this screen.
Simply click 'Start Discovering Papers' to begin your search.
If you would like to see an example of the citation tracking tool in use, you can select 'show me an example!' in the bottom right corner to see and interact with an in progress citation tracking search.
Add your reference information into the search bar and select search. The more exact the information you provide, the easier it is to find the correct paper.
Once you've hit search, Citation Gecko provides a series of results sorted by relevance. If you have entered all the reference information correctly, your desired key paper will appear in the first few results.
Select the check box to the left of the reference, and hit 'Add selected to seed papers'. The paper will become a seed paper and the screen behind the results will begin to populate.
Keep searching and adding seed papers until you have more than 4-5 and you have no more papers to add.
The search window will remain open until you click out of it. If you would like, you can browse the other results Citation Gecko found for your results, to see if there are any suggested papers that could be relevant.
