Instructions

With your seed papers selected, now you can begin citation tracking the resources found.

To begin, select multiple/all seed papers and in the pop up tool menu next to the seed paper column, there will be three citation tracking options.

The option Earlier Work is an example of a backwards citation tracking tool.

By selecting this option, you will be able to view relevant resources that were cited/referenced in the original seed papers.

After clicking this option, another column will open beside the pop up tool box. This column will hold the relevant papers citation tracked from the seed papers.

Select a resource you think might be helpful to view more information.

The information you can view includes the reference information such as title, author, and date, as well as an abstract of the selected paper, and citation tracking options for the individual reference.

To add the selected resources as a seed paper look at the pop up tool menu to the right of the resource information.

There are two options for adding the selected resource as a seed paper.

  1. Clicking the first 'Add to:' option adds the resource to the current collection undergoing citationt racking.
  2. The second 'Add to:' option allows you to add the selected resource to any collection you manage.

Furthermore, you can perform citation tracking actions on the selected resource. Similar to how the selected resource was discovered, you can Explore Papers through 'Similar Work', 'All References' or 'All Citations'.
