Reading List Guide: Add resources from EndNote

Add resources from EndNote

1) In your EndNote library select the resources you would like to add to your reading list.

Select File > Export

2) In the pop up window make sure that you fill in details as follows: 

  • Give your file a name
  • Add .ris after the file name
  • Save as type: Text File (*.txt)
  • Output style: RefMan (RIS) Export
  • Tick 'Export Selected References' (otherwise it will export your full EndNote library)
  • Save

The file with your resources will be saved as a RIS file.

3) In your Reading List:

  • Select Add
  • Select Import references
  • Select From file

4) Drag and drop the RIS file or Browse for the file

5) Select the section you'd like to add the resources to. 

  • Click on Add all items
