Reading List Guide: Adding links to Learning Materials

On this page you will find information on how to:

Adding a link into your Learning Materials

If you would like to make your Learning Materials more interactive, add links to the Reading List into your Learning Materials. Our suggestion would be to link to sections, instead of linking to each individual reading. For example at the end of your Week 1 material in Learnline add 'Go to your Week 1 readings' and embed a link to the Week 1 section of the Reading List.

By simply linking to a section, there is no need for you to maintain lengthy reference lists in your Learning Materials.

1) Add readings to your Reading List

2) To get a link to a specific section (or reading or whole Reading List):

  • Select the 'share' symbol:  .

3) You will be given two options:

  • Shareable link to item: This link could be embedded or copied into text in your unit material
  • Link to BLACKBOARD: This link allows you to for example make a section of your Reading List accessible as part of the unit content.

4) If you select Shareable link to item

  • A little note will pop up that the link has been copied
  • Select Close
  • Paste the link into the right place in your Learnline unit (in the unit material)
