You can also consult the print edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association available via Library Search.

Your reference list should follow these essential format guidelines:

Start your reference list on a new page.
Heading 'References' in bold and centred.
Reference entries left aligned (do not justify edges).
Hanging indent applied to reference entries. See the FAQ: How do I create a hanging indent?
2.0 line spacing. No extra spaces between paragraphs.
List is in alphabetical order.
