What are Citation Generators?

Tools that can help automatically generate a citation.

Only Library Search and HeinOnline have specific AGLC citation format. For the other databases, use the available citation generator to get the details, such as title and year.

Note: Check your citation against the guide. Citation generators make mistakes so will need to check your citation against the AGLC guide.

Note

Google Scholar doesn't have an inbuild AGLC Citation. You can use the citation details to help generate an AGLC Citaiton.

  1. Select 'Citation'.
  2. In the pop-up, select Australian Guide to Legal Citation.
  3. Copy and paste into your footnote or Bibliography.
  4. Check your citation against the guide.
