This guide helps CDU students and staff understand how copyright affects you. 

Upcoming changes

On 1 January 2019 the changes to the Copyright Act will commence. These changes include;

• The definition of when a work is made public. 
• The time copyright lasts when the author is not known when a work is made after 1 January 2019. 
• The term of copyright for films and sound recordings will also be changed.
