Academic Skills Support

The Academic Language and Learning Success Program (ALLSP) is a free service available to CDU students.

The ALLSP staff can assist you to:

  • understand your assignments
  • know what standard of work is required
  • know how to get the grades you want
  • express yourself better in writing
  • produce academically appropriate work (essays, reports, journal articles, research papers)

On the ALLSP Study Skills website you will find a comprehensive range of study skills information like for example:

  • How to write an essay
  • How to write a report
  • Academic writing
  • Critical thinking
  • Effective note making

ALLSP offers free workshops on-campus and online to support you as you learn academic skills, like:

  • Paraphrase, quote & summarise
  • Interpret and plan your assignment
  • Plagiarism
