All Campus Libraries have Learning Precincts with access to computers. The Learning Precincts contain individual study areas, collaborative (group) study areas and a lap top lounge.
This guide contains instructions designed to help you whilst studying in the Learning Precinct.
Staff are also available to help with basic inquiries.
Scanning
Printing
Printing is available at all campus libraries for a fee. See the Uniprint Express page for more information.
If you are connected to the CDU wireless network you can add Library printers to your personal laptop. Select the correct link below for instructions. Please note this service is not currently available to Macintosh laptops.
You must be a CDU Student with a student card to be able to print in the Library.
Ask at the service desk if you require assistance.
Photocopying
Photocopying is available at all campus libraries for a fee. See the Uniprint Express page for more information.
Students need to use their CDU student card when photocopying. All other Library users can purchase a casual photocopy card at the coin reload machine for $2 and then add credit to it.
You will need to create a PIN for photocopying, you enter it the first time you swipe your card to photocopy.
After entering their PIN, students will need to select which account they want to print from.
Ask at the service desk if you require assistance with photocopying or you forget your PIN.
Connecting to the CDU Wireless Network
Wireless access is available in select areas on all Campuses.
These guides are designed for current CDU Students. Your student account needs to be activated in order to log into the wireless network.
Select the correct help guide for your operating system and follow the instructions to connect to the wireless network.
Wireless access can be connected with older versions of Windows but you will need to make sure your laptop is as up-to-date as possible with Microsoft and manufacturer specific software.
Library staff are available to provide basic assistance.
Accessing your U: drive online
To access your U: Drive outside the University go to ftp://studentftp.cdu.edu.au and then use your student login.
To avoid corrupt or lost files, back them up.
Please note that there is a storage limit on your U: Drive. Full details can be found here.

Staff at Casuarina and Palmerston Library service desks offer support to CDU students and staff using the Learning Precinct.
