Recently the Australian Departments of Education agreed to licence their websites and publications under CC BY 4.0.  Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and the Australian Government Department of Education have licensed their websites under CC BY 4.0 and the other states/territories are in the process of implementation.   Many of the Departments of Education and non- government school sector are beginning to licence their  learning resources under Creative Commons licenses to ensure wider sharing and building of knowledge.

CLI and Creative Commons
The Centre for Learning Innovation (CLI) is a government agency which forms part of the New South Wales Department of Education and Training. It produces high quality learning resources and provides leadership in the use of technology in education and training. Recently, CLI has released several of its resources under Creative Commons licences.


International case studies gathered in order to gain a fuller understanding into the way Open Educational Resources (OER) are being used.
